This Level 5 certification recognizes the airport’s success in maintaining a pure zero carbon balance. The airport achieved a 90% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and offset the rest. Originally aiming for net zero by 2030, it has already achieved the goal through renewable energy, electric vehicles, zero waste programs, and green infrastructure. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has announced that 90% of the Smart City Mission projects have been completed. The remaining 10% of projects are delayed due to legal issues, departmental approvals, land acquisition, construction in hilly areas, and lack of resources in smaller cities. Out of 100 smart cities, 17 cities have completed all their projects, and 34 cities have completed more than 90% of their projects. The Territorial Army has formed a new task force to rejuvenate and protect the Gomti River. Gomti River is a tributary of the Ganga, flowing entirely through Uttar Pradesh. In the 2024 Algerian presidential election, 78-year-old President Abdelmadjid Tebboune was re-elected with a landslide victory. According to Mohammed Charfi, head of the election authority, he received 94.65% of valid votes. This election took place on September 7, 2024, in which 5.6 million voters out of 2.5 crore eligible participants exercised their right to vote. President Tebboune was re-elected for a second five-year term. He was first elected in 2019, but the opposition boycotted that election. Recently, the President of the United States of America (USA) announced the imposition of a 25% tariff on all imports from India, which will be effective from August 1, 2025. Scientists have recently discovered a new plant species, Heptapleurum assamicum, in the Dima Hasao and West Karbi Anglong districts of Assam. It is a green evergreen shrub belonging to the Araliaceae family, which also includes ornamental umbrella plants. It has narrow spear-shaped leaves 1.2 cm wide and purple flowers instead of green-yellow ones. Its population is very small and limited, and it has been listed as “Data Deficient” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
