Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) ने Jharia Coalfield में कोयला आग एवं भूमि अवक्षय अध्ययन के लिए समझौता किया .ISRO ने Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) तथा Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) के साथ त्रिपक्षीय समझौता किया है।इस समझौते के माध्यम से Jharia कोयला क्षेत्र की सतह-कोयला आग और भूमि अवक्षय (land subsidence) का उपग्रह-आधारित तथा अन्य तकनीकी माध्यम से अध्ययन किया जाएगा।
तकनीकी विवरण: थर्मल इन्फ्रारेड (TIR), शॉर्ट-वेव इन्फ्रारेड (SWIR) डेटा तथा SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) तकनीक इस्तेमाल होगी।
अवधि: वित्त वर्ष 2025-27 के बीच इस परियोजना को लागू किया जाना है।
महत्व: Jharia क्षेत्र को लंबे समय से कोयला-आग और विस्थापन-भूमि जोखिम का सामना है। इस अध्ययन से सुरक्षित खनन, पर्यावरण प्रबंधन तथा निवासियों की सुरक्षा को बेहतर बनाने में योगदान मिलेगा।
उद्देश्य:झरिया कोयला क्षेत्र में चल रही भूमिगत कोयला आग और भूमि धँसाव (Land Subsidence) का अध्ययन
उपग्रह आधारित निगरानी प्रणाली विकसित करना
महत्व:
झरिया कोयला क्षेत्र में 1916 से कोयला आग की समस्या चल रही है।
अब तक 200 से अधिक आगें सक्रिय पाई गई हैं।
इससे पर्यावरण प्रदूषण, जन-स्वास्थ्य खतरा, और विस्थापन की समस्या बढ़ी है।

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) compromised for coal fire and land avoidance studies in Jharia Coalfield .isro Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Mine Planning & Design Institute is a trilateral agreement with Limited (CMPDI). Through this agreement, the surface of Jharia coal area and coal fire and land avoidance (Land subsidence) Will be studied with satellite-based and other technologies.
Technical Details: Thermal Infrared (TIR), Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) Data and SAR (Synthetic APERTURE RADAR) will be used. Duration: This project has to be implemented between the financial year 2025-27.
Importance: Jharia area has long been facing coal-fire and displacement-land risk. This study will contribute to improve the security of safe mining, environmental management and residents.
Objectives: Developing the underground coal fire and land tales (land subsidence) in the Jharia Coal area Importance: The problem of coal fire is going on in the Jharia coal area since 1916. So far, more than 200 perce have been found active. This has increased the problem of environmental pollution, public health danger, and displacement.
Benefits: Safe Mining Plan will be made for a previous warning of land dhalaks will get accurate figures in rehabilitation of affected families
