झारखंड बिजली वितरण निगम ने रांची के गेतलसूद डैम से 100 मेगावाट फ्लोटिंग सोलर पावर प्लांट लगाने का फैसला किया था। जिसका निर्माण सोलर एनर्जी कारपोरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया वर्ल्ड बैंक की मदद से 800 करोड़ की लागत से कर रहा है, जिसका निर्माण कार्य 60% हो चुका है। मार्च 2026 से शुरू हो जाएगा। गेतलसूद डैम से उत्पादित 100 मेगावाट बिजली झारखंड बिजली वितरण निगम लेगा, और हटिया और नामकुम ग्रिड को दी जाएगी। बिजली की दर न्यूनतम रखी जाएगी। सालाना 60 करोड रुपए की बिजली तैयार होगा। इसका प्लान जीबीवीएनएल द्वारा दिए गए टैरिफ पिटीशन में दिया गया है
100 MW Floating Solar Power Plant to Start at Getalsud Dam, Ranchi from March 2026

Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited decided to set up a 100 MW floating solar power plant at the Getalsud Dam in Ranchi. The project is being constructed with the support of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and the World Bank, at an estimated cost of ₹800 crore. About 60% of the construction work has been completed, and the plant is expected to begin operations in March 2026.
The 100 MW of electricity generated from the Getalsud Dam will be procured by Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and supplied to the Hatia and Namkum grids. The electricity tariff will be kept at a minimum. The project is expected to generate electricity worth approximately ₹60 crore annually.
This plan has been included in the tariff petition submitted by JBVNL.
